Château de La Rochepot
5 km from Nolay, the old medieval fortress of the Pot family.
Sold nationally and dismantled, it was bought by the wife of President Carnot to offer it to her son, Colonel Hyppolite Sadi Carnot, who had the château rebuilt identically under the direction of the architect Charles Suisse, disciple of Viollet-le-Duc. Its glazed tiles make it a symbol of Burgundian architecture. The château is closed to the public – it can only be to photographed from the outside.
